He is a singer and pianist, songwriter and arranger and has already received the Swiss Jazz Award for his debut album - Raphael Jost is a multi-talent. He surprises with his powerful, warm voice and moves lightly between jazz and pop.
Raphael Jost sees himself as a modern crooner. His own songs are snapshots of his life, catchy yet always sophisticatedly arranged. He and his rhythm section also share a great passion for playing standards. They do this in a way that is rather unusual these days – with an energetic swing feel and lively interplay. There's always plenty of room for improvisation.
